So, I've decided now is the time to start making things happen. What that means, I'm not really sure, but I need to do something. I have a stack of recipes, a book of notes where I jot my ideas down (food related, arts and crafts, or life plans) and a whole imagination of things I want to do. If I want something to come of all of this, I need to make myself accountable. I'm going to start at the top of the stack and work my way down.
Next, I'm all about saving whenever I can. I say if you pay retail for something, you've paid too much. There isn't anything that you can't find a deal on. Whether it's looking for the item on sale or using coupons or a combination of both. I have my coupon notebook and peruse the internet and Sunday paper every week looking for the best deals. I take full advantage of Super Double days or Triple Coupon weeks every chance I get. Yes, I may hoard some things, but hey, if a tube of toothpaste is free, free is better than cheap and toothpaste won't go bad! So I will share my deal saving tips and placese I go to find the deals. One of my favorites is Jenny from Southern Savers, she really knows how to save a buck and helps me every week.
Aside from food, another thing I want to 'make happen' is to run a half marathon. I completed my first sprint triathalon, Ramblin Rose this fall and that really has motivated me to push myself to the next big challenge. I really hate running, so doing this is will be a huge accomplishment for me. I'd much rather go biking or hiking, but running is a challenge that I'm up for. Staying in shape and eating healthy is at the top of my list. Healthy equals happy in my world. :-)
Finally, I really am just doing this for myself to document some ideas, keep track of and share my recipes and have a creative outlet. If you like them, great and thank you! If you have ideas or questions or something to share, feel free. Ultimately I would love to turn this into my 'next big thing' whatever that may be!
